Treatment varies depending on the problem. It might be individual work with a child or teenager; joint work with a child and parent, child and both parents, or support work with parents alone.

The primary goal is to work collaboratively and find ways to help that you find valuable. The treatment offered will be guided by the most appropriate supporting evidence and research and tailored to your particular needs. We aim to help in the quickest and most effective way possible.

The range of approaches that we use to tailor the treatment plan include cognitive behavioural therapy, systemic family therapy, brief solution-focused therapy, behaviour therapy, narrative therapy and parenting skills training.

You are under no obligation to complete a course of treatment – however if you have doubts then we welcome your views and together we can make the plan more helpful and relevant.

All matters discussed are kept confidential – apart from something that implies the patient or someone else is in danger.

If this service is not suitable for you then we aim to put you in touch with an alternative service that offers relevant help.
